Division III Core Courses

What are the Division III Core Courses for NCAA Athletics?

Division III schools compete in athletics as a non-revenue making, extracurricular activity and are not allowed to offer athletic scholarships.  The NCAA does not police the Division III level like it does the Division I and Division II levels.  The NCAA does not require athletes to meet certain core courses.

Division III schools are considered some of the best academic schools in the country; therefore, they tend to offer generous academic scholarships to athletes.  There are an estimated 450 schools that make up the Division III level, with schools ranging from 500 to 10,000+ students.

IMPORTANT: Division III schools do not have academic requirements set by the NCAA.  Each institution has policies in place.  If you’re interested you must contact that school directly.
